Joncris Sentinel Services

Services

In 1995 John Brady commenced Joncris Sentinel Services with a goal of providing assistance to senior managers at coal mines. The idea grew from a void he identified within the industry while working as a mine manager and a general manager where he didn’t have the hours in the day to read everything that came across his desk. He wanted a service provider that he could give problems or information to be reviewed and commented on to  and they would provide him some help, guidance or summaries. John started with the main activities of:

  • Mine Atmosphere Interpretation specialising on the early detection of spontaneous combustion;
  • Facilitating the development and implementation of Safety and Health Management Systems;
  • Facilitating Incident/Accident Investigations and assist operators to develop and implement Corrective Action;
  • Providing clients with the knowledge necessary to ensure their operations are maintained at an acceptable level of risk;
  • The conduct of continuous improvement reviews and external audits that are designed to monitor the performance of the safety management systems and to address any change that may have occurred in the operation of the business;

Since commencement, the business has expanded to also include:

  • Training persons to a standard necessary for them to apply, implement and establish the Safety, Health and Risk Management systems that they require as Supervisors, Statutory Mine Officials and potentially, future mine managers.
